Highlight a sentence and it becomes a card. Then pick the word or phrase inside it that turns into the blank you'll fill in on review.

You decide what's hidden
Hide a single word or a whole phrase, and put more than one blank on the same card. Every deletion goes exactly where you place it.
AI generate mode AI
Hand Clozely a whole document, a page range, or just an area you box off around a table or figure, and it drafts a set of cards. Scanned PDFs count too; Clozely reads the page for you. Drop in a lecture recording and it transcribes the audio first, then makes cards from the transcript. You approve them one at a time, so nothing lands in your deck unread.

Does Clozely replace Anki?
No, and that's the point. Anki is the best review engine there is. Clozely is the fastest way to fill it. You make cards in Clozely and review them in Anki, on any device Anki runs on.
What can I make cards from?
PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and any website you can open in the built-in web tab. Scanned or image-only PDFs work too. Clozely reads the text on the page with OCR. You can even drop in a lecture recording, audio or video, and Clozely transcribes it so you can make cards from what was said. One app, one workflow, for everything you study.
Do I have to use the AI?
No. The manual highlight-to-card workflow is the heart of Clozely and never requires AI. AI drafting is an optional add-on for when you want a first pass over a long chapter, and you review every card it suggests.
