Lectures Clozely AI Pro

Turn a lecture video into Anki cards.

Drop a recording into Clozely, or paste a YouTube link. It transcribes the audio, reads the slides, and writes a study doc where every line cites a timestamp. Click a sentence and the video jumps to the exact moment it was said. Then you highlight the doc into cloze cards, the same way you would a PDF.

What you get

Notes you can trust, cited to the second.

A recording becomes a readable study doc. Every block carries a timestamp chip, so a line in your notes is never more than one click from the professor actually saying it.

The doc is fully editable. Fix a phrase, reorder a section, add your own lines. It stays your notes, with the receipts attached.

Highlight the doc into cards

The study doc works like any document in Clozely: highlight a sentence, pick the blank, and the cloze card is made. Cards keep their timestamp citation, in the app and on the Anki card itself.

Snip a slide off the video

Pause the video and drag a box over the slide. You get an image card, or an image occlusion card with the labels covered, and it carries the timestamp it came from.

Cards jump back to the video

Click a card in Clozely and the recording seeks to the moment it came from, so you can hear that part again.

Audio works too

No slides on screen? A plain audio recording becomes the same kind of study doc — every line cited to the moment it was said, with playback built in.

Make Anki cards from any lecture recording.

Turn video to Anki flashcards in seconds. Clozely turns a lecture recording into a complete study document with timestamped citations. Highlight the parts you want to make cloze cards from, or have AI draft the cards for you.

Questions, answered

What video formats work?

The common ones: mp4, mov, webm, mkv, m4v, and phone recordings. Audio-only files (mp3, m4a, wav, ogg) work the same way.

Can I make Anki cards from a YouTube video?

Yes. Paste a YouTube link and Clozely turns the lecture into a study doc where every line cites the second it was said. Click a citation and the video plays there, inside Clozely. If a video can't be read yet, Clozely tells you, and you can open the file instead. Other video sites aren't supported yet.

Does this need a subscription?

Yes. Lecture study docs are part of Clozely AI Pro ($19.99/mo, or $199/yr). You can also buy lecture time as a one-time pack. Details on pricing.

What happens to my recording?

Recordings are uploaded for transcription and deleted from our servers shortly after processing. The study doc lives in your library, on your device.

How is this different from a note-taking AI?

Notetakers stop at notes. Clozely's study doc is the midpoint: the end product is spaced-repetition cards in Anki, with every card traceable to the moment in the lecture it came from.
