Do I need the Image Occlusion Enhanced add-on?
No. Clozely builds the occlusion cards itself and sends them to Anki as regular notes. They review anywhere Anki runs, including your phone, with nothing extra installed.
My occlusion add-on broke after an Anki update. Will this?
Clozely doesn't run inside Anki, so Anki updates don't touch it. The cards it sends are ordinary notes; once they're in your collection they behave like any other card.
Can I occlude an image that isn't in a document?
Open the image file itself in Clozely (jpg or png) and occlude it directly, the same as a figure inside a document.
How do the cards look in Anki?
Question side: the figure with one label covered. Answer side: the label revealed, plus a toggle showing the whole figure. Any extra text or images you added ride along on the back.
